For radiologically significant or high-category documents, the approval process consists of:
- Internal project review
- Independent Peer Review (IPR)
- Site Safety Committee agreement
- Regulatory agreement/approval
- Final Site Licensee approval before implementation
Note: For lower-hazard decommissioning plant, the documentation may be combined. For example, the PSR and PCSR may be combined, as may the PCMSR and SCS, or the POSR and CR. For very simple, low-consequence modifications, a single document addressing all relevant stages may suffice.
